...still annoy the heck outta me. The Lucky Egg in your inventory, the Millionaire's Desk, etc.

However, the one that annoys me the most is the "if the Thief kills it, the chance is better for a drop than if someone else in his/her party does it" myth. It's annoying to have people start shouting repeatedly over and over when a mob gets to low health for everyone to disengage, then jump into an obscenity-filled tirade at the person that kills it instead of the Thief.

Though I will admit, it is funny to sit and laugh at the person that goes off on said tirade. Razz

The Gil Sellers still do this when they claim HNMs. They all wail away on Behemoth until it gets to 1% and then they all disengage and the thief is poking it in the ass with a pointy stick until it dies. Not like they aren't slow enough on the kill already Mad

It's odd, because SE actually said it (the killing blow theory) wasn't true. And they hardly ever come out and say something without veiling it heavily.

If they acknowledge any theory at all. Like for instance, direction when crafting. When asked about that, they pretty much went "we're not telling you, it might be true, it might not be."

You've got it almost right. The thf has to spin around and do a flip for the final blow.

I'm actually reminded of the rank 9 n00b I ran into that was yelling at new players for not rushing a goblin for bomb toss. I pointed out he was full of crap and he argued, of course, because at the time, I was a rank 1 single job little blm taru. I disbanded, sent tells to the other members of the party to not listen to him, explaining that char was an alt char and I had plenty of experience as melee and mage, then found a new party.
