sooo yeah i bought an APC help protect against power outages and the like... well seems my computer overloads it now that i unpluged it... everything (seems to) run fine.

you have no idea how relieved i am at this point, i was seriously starting to freak out... not that i cant afford to but another one outright but... thats still alot of money if i had messed up something.

on a lighter note, when i OC my processer to 4 ghz i scored 6700ish
at 3.2 im getting about 5900 on the benchmark that is.[/b]

It's entirely possible you are overloading your UPS if you bought one that is rated below the power draw of your computer. Given your computer specs, you'll probably need a pretty beefy UPS.

This is what I have and it has not failed me in the nearly 3 years I've owned it:

BTW, I do know the effects of buying a UPS rated below the draw of power of your computer because I fell in that trap before. Not only is the UPS not able to provide enough power, but you actually kill the battery in the UPS. All of my computer crap only puts less than 250w drain on my UPS currently, but I also get 20+ minutes of battery run time now.

Edit: I just unplugged my UPS to see what the runtime looks like after 3 years. Still 20+ minutes, though a few minutes shorter than it was new. I'm posting this on battery power Very Happy
