TheHonourableSouls is a linkshell that has worked hard to create a linkshell atmosphere and environment that diverse people feel welcome in.

Our success in growing into one of the largest social linkshells in Vana'diel is a direct reflectoin of this, which we should all take pride in.

But with our success comes many diverse people with diverse opinions on many subjects.

We always try to find a way to respect the opinions of as many people as possible, but sometimes this also means having to respect others if you do not necessarily agree with them.

We have all had at one time or another an exp party with a player that is sub-par to the general expectations of what is expected in an exp party.

There are also going to be some people with reputations that will always mark them in a negative light, which will naturally spark some comments about them in ls chat.

With that being said, while we encourage everyone to voice thier opinion, when it comes to these players that are sub-par but don't have a bad reputation and/or have not done anything reallyderogatory, we ask that you try to keep in mind the opinions of your fellow linkmates.

You can make comments about them in ls chat to warn other ls members they may not be desirable for exp, or to ask opinions on how you should handle the situation.

In regards to these conversations, they should not take longer than 5-10 minutes at best, since it should take no longer than that to come to the decision on how to handle that player in regards to the exp party.

When theses converstation last for 15 + minutes however, other linkshell members start to feel a bit uncomfortable. If you feel the need to talk about it that long, please do it in /tell so that we can make everyone feel as welcome and comfortable as possible in TheHonourableSouls.

So, is this referring to talking about people who aren't in the LS?

Example: I just partied with the worlds worst 6/6 AF dragoon. Other than his name being some variation of Sephiroth, his only sin is being a bad dragoon. I've never heard of him and will probably never see him again (if I'm lucky).

What you're trying to discourage his me ranting about this guy for 20+ minutes (in linkshell) about everything he's doing wrong in a party, correct? Or, if someone happens to party with him and mentions it, keeping the trash talk down to a minimum.

I'm just trying to narrow down what you're saying in case I'm accidentally violating it, because I do love complaining about bad parties, but I don't want to make anyone feel unwelcome in the LS.

Tel, Kade's just saying that if you come across a crappy party member or whatever, it's fine to make a comment or two in the LS. It's when people go on and on about how much that member sucks or what they're doing that they're not supposed to be doing, etc., that it starts to get a little annoying.

Guess I'm a little guilty of this, too. I'll watch it in the future.

The only ppl that aren't guilty of this are the ones that either don't talk in ls much or don't exp much if at all.

I agree with Kade. A comment or two about sub-par players is fine in LS chat, but a 20 + minute rant session is not, especially when it occurs on a daily basis.

Thanks Kade! Smile
