So the few inches of snow we were suppose to only get is actually much much more. It was enough snow to cause this, which is what woke me up this morning:

My foot actually disappears in the snow. Apparently we got 8 inches. What's funny is that 8 inches was concentrated around my area. Farther out in the same city, they reported only about 5 inches. Outside of that, it melted earlier this morning, was just enough to coat the ground.

You have to keep in mind that this kind of snow generally doesn't happen here. The trees here haven't had to worry about bearing the weight of snow, so some develop weak branches or trunks which break when the snow actually comes.

This is actually the third significant snow of the season here. Very unusual winter.

I was just driving and it's coming down hard people were going so slow, because with their super bright headlights they cant see anything and I get to go the speed limit cause i can see the road. Kinda sad felt like spring the snow was on the way out.

Yeah, Texans don't know how to deal with this weather and make really bad assumptions. They don't realize that in snow, fog, and heavy rain that your high beams actually makes visibility worse. I don't avoid the roads on days like this because it's dangerous to drive on. I avoid the roads because it's dangerous to be around other drivers.
